Nice restaurant, not very busy at lunchtime, very refreshing mixed drink

Very friendly service and very good food.

The coffee was good. The location was very good. In my opinion, cake was an industrial commodity.

Went to Starnberg with friends and happened upon the Essbar by chance. Had a wonderful evening. The food and drinks were delicious, but the service was also very friendly! Really recommend.

Nice ambience and friendly service. Even if the somewhat younger waitress is obviously still inexperienced. Food is good and value for money for the district is also okay. Definitely worth a visit.

Food is good, prices on the Starnberg level. The service was very friendly, but it was almost funny how often she had memory problems (and there weren't that many tables): - Brought the wrong drink by - wanted to bring the already consumed order again - came to us 3 times with the orders for other tables. So maybe as a tip to the owner: introduce an electronic note system

Very tasty food & nice service

Friendly staff... Non-alcoholic drinks not on the menu. OK. Then the operator accidentally tips the tonic water, which then floods everything on the table, including our face masks. The operation is very embarrassing, understandable, but something like that can happen. She then assures us that the masks will be replaced. Two minutes later she comes back and says that she could not "give us a mask" (appropriate restitution would have done it as a wording), which probably comes from her boss as a statement, as well as the absolutely outrageous remark that we should have tonic water just let the soaked masks “dry”. So much for the grotty customer service, but it gets even better: there was no replacement for the half-spilled tonic water, the full price for all drinks including the affected gin & tonic was calculated. On my note that I find this really weak, only the mantra-like excuse for the waitress came. Can't recommend this shop to anyone. Compensation is NOT a CENT VALUE for the restaurant management. Never again.

Delicious breakfast in a nice environment and a very, very nice and friendly service!

Very good food, friendly staff. When it rained outside we had to go inside, and we were given a wine rack as a table, even though there were still tables free. We could not enjoy our good food because we had to twist to bring the fork to our mouths because we did not know where to put our legs because the legroom was missing when sitting. (Alternative: eat while standing but who wants that ??) After sitting diagonally, with subsequent neck tension, we also felt that they wanted to get rid of us quickly. There was no small attention as compensation that we were sitting very uncomfortably. Sure, we should go too. Unfortunately, it's a shame. Even if the food is good, we will not come and will not recommend this location.

Almost feel like an adult again having a great G&T with friends post Covid-19 restrictions lugging a bit in Bavaria.

Food really good quality and nice selection for breakfast! Service super competent, quick and cheerful and warm! Location maintained and stylish, despite Corona, the ambience was very cozy We have reserved again for next weekend 👍

Here is a great breakfast! The pancakes are highly recommended. Been here several times and was never disappointed. The portions are also the right size :)

Without a doubt THE BEST cafe bar in Starnborg we found! Great menu choices, lovely wine and friendly staff.

We had a salad with goat cheese and some sweet potato fries everything was delicious, also the staff very friendly.
